Jim came up
and helped set the last windows and close in the gable I need to find a locking 36 inch storm door and we will be set for the winter. This should be about it before the wedding of our daughter Melissa.

The weather cooperated nicely to frame in and set the windows, but when we bought the tile for the porch walls the salesman pointed out that the thin set and the grout need to cure each for 24 hours above 50 degrees. I decided to finish the outside season with setting the windows and next spring I will remove the windows and tile when the warm weather returns.

It is wed. and I am finally getting ready to close in the porch. 
But first the picture of Mary is from this last Sunday we went to a seminar on recognizing edible mushrooms, and if I wasn't so loud taking this picture Mary would have fallen asleep during lunch break. The porch windows I bought on Craig's list are 76 inches tall and will fill just about the full area of the walls from 20 inches up. We have decided to put ceramic tile on the areas under and around the windows. Here is the first section with the 1/2 inch plywood and Duroc on and ready to be tiled.
