The insulation went in today everything went well. The bridge to nowhere (the walkway) is 17 1/2 inches to the top and the insulation is quite a bit deeper than that. As you can see Jay from woodland improvements pitched in thanks Jay.

I know it doesn't look like much but putting the duct work in the attic was a real son of a gun. Just to fill out the post the thermometer showed the highest we could get it up to in the house with the wood stove going full blast after two days of no heat at all.

I know it has been awhile but several things have been getting done and it is time for an update. The pocket doors are framed in and all of the walls that had to be put in to get the wiring down are built. I have been in the Attic putting in a crawl way raised to use as a depth indicator for the blown fiberglass insulation and to help with access to do the blowing.
I like to call the crawl way the bridge to nowhere it just goes in circles. This Saturday I finished in the attic and we started bringing in dead fall trees to cut for firewood and it was getting late so Mary thought it would be a good idea to stay through dusk to see what the lights looked like after dark.
