It looks just like one but the fiberglass
sure is an irritation. We got it put up on Monday and you can already tell the difference.

With a little help from my friends. Jim came up today and Jay from Woodland Improvements stopped by also. As you can see in the photo Jay jumped right in and helped put up the second floor ballroom. I have to say it looks good and the added benefit is that it happens to also be the ceiling of the bathroom. I am very impressed with 2 X 6 tongue and groove flooring.

And so am I from the fumes of the lacquer whew that is some strong fumes. The electrical inspector came today and did the first of two (I hope ) rough in inspections and He gave the go ahead to putting up the ceiling. By the time he arrived I was already putting lacquer on the bathroom ceiling joists and the ceiling side of the floor which is 2 by 6 tongue and grooved red oak to span between the 4 by 6 joist. as the pictures show I got the first coat of the lacquer on and will start putting the flooring on tomorrow.

I am continuing to get the rough in wiring done and in the hope that we could put in the oak flooring of the library/ ceiling of the bath.
This would make it a lot easier to wire the outlets and lights upstairs.

I have been told that I need to do a little more blogging even if what I am doing is kind of boring to Me. Here it is, Today I stuffed R30 insulation into the false post cavities and I wired outlets and we also framed the first wall. On the false posts I also started sealing them with clear packaging tape.

I envy the person that purchases a set of plans with every outlet and switch laid out and proven to be in the right spot. I on the other hand must surmise the finest location for every outlet and switch, all by my lonesome. Oh the trials I must endure, ain't it fun.
