OH SO CLOSE
We almost did it four batches of mud and we used up all of the drained pulp. I know it is hard to see but on the top of the wall about 2/3 of the top is not filled in. It would have been our first three day wall panel it was soooooo close. It turned out to be a beautiful day in the low 70s partly overcast. I hope the weather holds for the last of the walls, I mean it stays cool with low humidity.

Another 4 batch day
Just another4 batch day in July. It started out as a very uncomfortable day 57 degrees with wind and overcast until after lunch then the sun came out and it became a beautiful day. Things are looking up with the exception of the pulp tank it became a very ripe smelly etc. place today and we needed to drain and start over what a stinking mess.

double door
Jim as you can see the double door box only leaves about a two to three inch gap on the sides. Anyway I did get the double window box built and hung and I have the single window box for the guest bedroom finished. Paulette and Jim stopped up on Saturday and they seemed really interested in the process. To finish up I did the same thing with the double door that I had done on the single doors I cut the top of the box to the inside dimensions, oops. But Jason from Woodland Improvements came through with a new board that he glued and cut for me.

My lucky number (13)
Yes this is my lucky number and this is the thirteenth panel we have started. We had visitors today and it was a welcome break from the pointing, Brad and Marleen stopped by and took a tour. We did get a lot of the new panel done today I know it never looks like a lot but at the point end of a knife it does seem like a lot. Other news of the day it started out very cool and by 4:00 it was 84 degrees but what a beautiful day.

Another panel done
The 11TH panel took more mud than I thought it would but it is now history. The 12TH panel should need one more day and then we will be starting panels 13 and 14. As I have said before slowly I turned.

OVER THE HUMP
It is the 16TH of July and we are officially past the half way mark we closed up the 10TH panel today. Jim thought it would be informative to show the pulperizer 2009 in action with the free help. And also that is the 11Th panel that I am pointing on the scaffolding. All things considered it was a beautiful brisk day.

Monday - Tuesday
Monday we worked on wall ten and were ready to close it up when I had a problem with the last batch of paper Crete. I may not have mentioned this before but since I have the pulperizer 2009 working it is really easy to have the whole batch go liquid before I put the cement in. I think it has something to do with the pulps ability to hold water up to a point and then it releases it all at once, and the sand and pulp mix go from a stiff texture to a slurry all at once. Anyway It rained like crazy on Tuesday so we could not put up wall but we finish cut logs for 6 hours, we now have all of the stored wood under the roof cut ready to clean and put in the walls.

Not Again
Jim I had to ask do you remember when I said how happy I was to be out of the dirt hole? I am glad to have most of the trenching done and I also know it needed to be done when the water table went low enough. Looking forward to cord wooding again!!!

Not a Stick of wood mudded
Whew We cleaned and organized the shed and I cleaned wood , Pulped paper, braced the window boxes, and to top it all off We decided to start trenching in the storm cellar. It is the perfect time to get the sump pump going in the storm cellar. Mary was a real trooper she had a new experience " using a pick axe" Everyone needs to experience new things once and awhile. I have to admit that I ran out of steam before Mary did, we only finished about one third of the trench.

WE JUST KEEP HANGING THEM
I am really trying to get three of the double window boxes set in place this week and it is definitely looking good. Julie and Anthony good luck. Jim really wanted to have the tarp out of the way for the pictures.

Just hanging around again
It is another beautiful day in July and we started the 11TH wall and added to the 10TH We are definitely coming around the circle. It will go I hope a little more quickly with the double window boxes taking up a lot of the wall for the next 7 panels.

the double window box is anchored
The 9TH wall is closed up and we have set the double window box in the paper crete, it is no longer just hanging around. We used screws in the previous portion of the wall to level the box before we put the mud down and then we lowered the box onto the screws which kept the mud from squeezing out.

Pointing on the Fourth of July

I really do not need to say a lot more than that. Mary came up we didn't get a lot of the cord wood done but it is now ready to set the window next time. I also used the pulperizer 2009 and pulped a ton of paper. Mary took the hand sickle and cleared the weeds out of the path to the meadow in back. Overall it was a absolutely beautiful day.

It's a Hanging offense
We are closing in on the tenth wall as you can see in the photo we have the double window box suspended in the opening. The outside dimension's of the box are about 64" X 64" by the 18 inches deep and they are heavy. also we closed the 8Th wall and brought the 9TH wall to the top of the door plus we started the 10TH and we have the accused hanging in the opening.
