My brother Jason volunteered to help split the wood before I moved it under the roof. I wanted to split all of the peeled and cut logs before I moved them into the house. What a nice day itturned out to be and only 40 degrees. It looks like my timing will be good in that I want to get all of the wood up to the slab before the frost breaks and it turns into a quagmire. Who ever invented the reciprocating log splitter really pulled a rabbit out of the hat, we rented the splitter from Milaca Rental and it is the first time I have ever used a splitter that splits in both directions. OK it is still a lot of work but it is twice as fast, tomorrow I will be moving all of the split wood to the slab.
