January 6th and it is beautiful out , ok it's only 20 degree's but that is a lot better than it has been. I arived at the land about nine and set up to cut the mortises for the library floor joists.
The floor joists are 4" X 6" brown ash, and I am mortising into white oak and ash. I have never done anything like this before and I have to say OAK is a realy tough wood. by 2:00 I had two of the sevin joists mortised, cut to length and installed.
